New KTM Scooter Spied During Testing

The New Scooter from KTM brings a unique look to its design.

The Austrian Manufacturer KTM has tried to do something new by bringing customers a new scooter. KTM is mainly known for its Adventure Tourer bikes; now, it entered the scooter segment. The rumours of the scooter by KTM are already spreading, but now when the scooter is seen during testing, it confirms its release someday.

The images on the social media post from a German magazine display a person riding the scooter in the KTM kit. Some clues suggest that the test rider's orange gear and certain design elements hint at the possibility of this being KTM's first twist-and-go offering. The machined swingarm differs from what is currently found in the KTM range. But it resembles the style and design of swingarms on KTM's Duke and RC series motorcycles.

Another clue is the adjuster block on the rear axle, which indicates that the electric scooter might use a chain drive instead of a belt or direct drive system. This adjuster block resembles a component used on lightweight KTM models. It further suggests a connection between KTM's design language and parts sharing.

There is no official confirmation from KTM or more detailed information, so it is difficult to conclude that this is KTM's first twist-and-go offering. The information suggests that KTM is interested in entering the scooter and urban mobility market. It includes the development of an electric lightweight bike report and rumours that are circulating since 2020.

It is considering KTM's track record of producing popular and successful motorcycles. It wouldn't be surprising if they included a twist-and-go scooter shortly. KTM's distinctive orange branding and ability to further tap into large consumer markets in Europe and beyond. It supports the possibility of them introducing a scooter offering.
