Manav Kapur, Executive Director of SteelBird Takes Charge As Chairperson of ACMA-YBLF

Manav Kapur, Executive Director of Steelbird International, has been appointed as the Chairperson of the ACMA - YBLF (Young Business Leader’s Forum) for the years 2023-2025. Manav was nominated Co-Chair in 2022. Currently, Sunjay Kapur is the Chief Mentor at the ACMA-YBLF.

In a significant development within the automotive component industry, the Youth Business Leaders Forum (YBLF) has emerged as a pivotal platform, fostering the collaboration of numerous second and third-generation entrepreneurs. This dynamic initiative operates under the aegis of the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA).
 

At the forefront of nurturing young talents within ACMA-YBLF is Manav Kapur, who serves as the Executive Director of Steelbird International, India's premier automotive components company. This endeavour has always held a special place in his heart, and he generously imparts his wealth of professional experience to guide the future business leaders venturing into emerging fields such as new technologies, products, markets, and customer trends.

Having demonstrated his expertise in various functional domains and leading numerous training and development programs over the past decade, Manav Kapur has now taken the role of Chairperson for the 2023-2025 of ACMA-YBLF. 

His journey began as Co-Chair in 2022, and within just a year, he envisions a more extensive and impactful role, sharing this responsibility with another distinguished figure in the industry, Mr. Sunjay Kapur, who serves as the Chief Mentor of ACMA-YBLF.

In addition to his longstanding association with ACMA-YBLF, Manav Kapur is a thought leader who actively contributes to industry forums, panel discussions, and media conclaves. His remarkable achievements were recognised when he was awarded the prestigious title of Entrepreneur of the Year in 2019 for his outstanding contributions to the industry. 

Furthermore, he has been acknowledged as one of the top '40 under 40' business leaders by the Times Group, bringing a fresh perspective and innovative thinking to the world of business.
 

Says Manav Kapur, “Having been associated with ACMA-YBLF for over a decade, I am grateful and excited about the newest responsibility of leading it from the front, bestowed upon me by the outgoing Chairperson Mr. Nishant Jairath (Metalman Auto) and the opportunity to work with the new Mentor Mr. Sunjay Kapur (Sona Comstar), while being ably supported by Mr. Akhilesh Rai (Suprajit) as the Co-Chair. It is an exciting time indeed, with the Indian Auto Components industry having clocked the highest-ever turnover of Rs. 5.6 lakh crores (USD 69.7 billion), growing at 32.8% inFY 2022-23. The budding entrepreneurs of tomorrow must be equipped to lead the change in the customer space, category and synergise with the macro trends. I thus see my big role in the next 2 years in providing experiential learning, imparting knowledge, building skill sets and motivating a bright young group of people in the 25-40 age group. It givesme valuable insights and augments my own learning curve so it is a win-win proposition.”
