ICOTY and IMOTY Awards 2023 were Announced yesterday

The winners of the 18th Indian Car of the Year (ICOTY) Awards, the 16th Indian Motorcycle of the Year (IMOTY) Awards, the 5th ICOTY Premium Car Awards, and the 3rd Green Car Award from ICOTY were announced yesterday in New Delhi.

The winner of the 2023 ICOTY is the Kia Carens, while the 2023 IMOTY crown goes to the Royal Enfield Hunter. In addition, Mercedes-Benz won the Premium Car Award for its EQS 580 and the 2023 Green Car of the Year award won by the Kia EV6.

Kia Carens had competitors Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Grand Vitara, Hyundai Tucson, Toyota Urban Cruiser HyRyder, Mahindra Scorpio-N, Skoda Slavia, Volkswagen Virtus and Citroen C3. These were the finalists shortlisted by the jury, and the Karens fought them all off.

For the year 2023, the IMOTY crown was won by Royal Enfield Hunter. Hunter took on Yezdi Adventure, Yezdi Scrambler, TVS Ronin, KTM RC 390, Bajaj Pulsar N160, Suzuki V-Strom SX, Triumph Tiger 660, Honda CB300F and BMW G 310 RR.

The ICOTY and IMOTY awards were established in 2005 and 2007, respectively and are among the top five automotive awards in the world. A jury award made up of experts from India's top automotive media is the most coveted automotive award in the country. JK Tire has sponsored these awards since their inception.
