FADA Sales Report September 2023 Highlights a Significant 2-Wheeler Growth of 4.60% MoM & 21.68% YoY!

FADA (Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations) has released its September 2023 sales report that showcased a YoY increase of 21.68% and an MoM rise of 4.60%.

In September 2023, the industry clocked in a total sales volume of 13,12,101 units, whereas in September 2022, the industry saw sales of 10,78,286 units. This resulted in a 21.68% increase in terms of YoY growth and a 4.60% increase in terms of MoM growth.

Top 3 Manufacturers With Highest 2-Wheeler Sales Figures & Market Share
Hero MotoCorp LTD, yet again took the crown of selling the highest number of 2-wheelers in September 2023. The manufacturer reported a total sales volume of 3,51,781 units last month. However, as compared to last year’s same month, the company sold 2,69,498 units, translating into an impressive YOY sales rise of 30.53%. Furthermore, the company also experience a massive rise in its market share by 7.27%.
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India took the next spot, right after Hero MotoCorp. The company experienced a total sales unit of 3,48,899 in September 2023, leading to a signifant 16.93% rise in its YoY sales when compared to 2,98,389 sales numbers registered in September 2022. In terms of market share, the company experienced a major fall of 3.91%.
TVS Motor Company Ltd took the 3rd position registering a total sales unit of 2,28,852 in September 2023, marking a decent YoY growth of 28.14% when compared to sales figures of September 2022, which was 1,78,589. Subsequently, the company also experienced an increase in its market share by 5.31% in September 2023.
Top 3 ELECTRIC Manufacturers With Highest 2-Wheeler Sales Figures & Market Share
In September 2023, Ola Electric, as usual, took the first position in the electric two-wheeler market for selling the highest number of EVs. The company reported total sales figures of 18,647 in September 2023, marking a massive growth of 88.39% when compared to September 2022 sales figures of 9,898. Moreover, the company also gained a market share rise of 54.82%.
Ather Energy Pvt Ltd took the next position after Ola Electric by selling 7,123 units in September 2023. For comparison, the company registered sales of 6,281 units in September 2022, reporting a decent growth of 13.41%. In addition, the company also experienced remarkable growth in terms of its market share, which grew by 6.80%.
And last but not least, the third position on the list is held by Piaggio Vehicles Pvt Ltd for the month of September 2023. The company clocked in a total sales unit of 3,605 in September 2023, as compared to 11 units sold in September 2022. Due to this, the company saw an exponential rise of 32672.73% this month. Apart from this, the company also experienced a major rise in its market share by 26832.66% for the month of September 2023.
