Ducati’s Electric Chapter Begins With the Production of MotoE Race Bike

Ducati will be breaking new ground in 2023 by being the only manufacturer of motorcycles for the FIM Enel MotoE World Championship racing starting this year. The business has been developing an electric motorcycle for the same purpose and has been through extensive testing for more than a year. Ducati has officially started manufacturing its electric race bike after testing it at the Misano World Circuit Marco.

The V21L race bikes were first put into production in December 2022, and 23 of them are expected to be finished by mid-February. In addition, five units are being prepped as a backup, even though 18 of them will be used on the track. Together with the Ducati Corse team, Ducati’s R&D experts are working diligently to build these motorcycles. The “V21L” is claimed to be as effective as the company’s MotoGP motorbikes thanks to a design and project management approach that is akin to those of its road-going sportbikes, such as the Panigale V4. 

Claudio Domenicali, CEO of Ducati, has stated that the company’s history is being written with the manufacturing of the MotoE motorcycle. The business is researching and testing out several technologies as part of this initiative that will be used in its upcoming road-going electric motorcycles. The brand will be able to offer the weight, performance, and range that consumers expect from Ducati motorcycles, thanks to this assignment.
