BMW Motorrad Launches 100 Years Edition Bikes in India-R nineT & R 18

BMW Motorrad has just launched their 100-year limited edition bikes - R nineT & R 18 100 in India. BMW R nineT price in India is set at Rs. 24 lakhs (ex-showroom), whereas the BMW R 18 price in India is at Rs 25.90 lakhs (ex-showroom).

You can now book either of the special edition models on their official website. Being a “limited edition”, only 1923 units are available across the world. These exclusive bikes mark BMW Motorrad’s 100th anniversary in the industry. 

It was in December 1922 when Max Friz, BMW’s chief designer, took the drawing board to design the first full-scale BMW Motorbike. It was built with an air-cooled, 2-cylinder and 4-stroke boxer engine. BMW R 32 was the first bike by the brand and was launched in September 1923.

These special edition bikes come with a finished chrome body and a very exclusive paint to enhance R 32’s retro appeal. In addition, the seats of the bike are given a 2-tone combination of oxblood and black. 

As for the mechanical aspect of these new models, no major changes have been made. However, the bikes are equipped with several technologically advanced equipment, including

• Comfort Package with Heated Grips,
• Cruise Control, and
• Driving Modes Pro
