BMW Motorrad has teased the upcoming BMW F 450 RR, a fully faired sportbike based on its 450cc platform. The BMW F 450 RR will be based on the F 450 R and get the same 420cc twin-cylinder engine. Moreover, it could become BMW’s most affordable twin-cylinder sportbike.

The BMW F 450 RR will share its engine with the F 450 R. It will use a 420cc, twin-cylinder engine that produces around 47 PS at 8,750 rpm and 43 Nm at 6,750 rpm in the naked model. The faired version could deliver similar performance.

Sporty Design With Aerodynamic Winglets

BMW F 450 RR

The BMW F 450 RR will feature a full fairing at the front, while its rear design could remain similar to the F 450 R. In addition, the teaser hints at twin-pod headlights inspired by the BMW Concept RR.

The side panels also appear to feature aerodynamic winglets, giving the bike a sharper look. Furthermore, clip-on handlebars should offer a sporty riding position, while an underbelly exhaust could complete its design.

BMW could carry over several hardware parts from the F 450 R, including 17-inch wheels, adjustable suspension on selected variants, a 310mm front disc and a 240mm rear disc.

The bike could also get a seat height close to 790mm and a 14 litre fuel tank. However, its kerb weight may increase slightly over the F 450 R’s 175kg due to the added fairing.

Expected features include riding modes, cornering ABS, cornering traction control, a 6 inch TFT display and a bidirectional quickshifter. In addition, adjustable clutch and front brake levers could improve rider control. The top variant may also feature BMW’s Easy Ride Clutch.

BMW F 450 RR Launch Timeline and Expected Price

BMW Motorrad will unveil the F 450 RR globally on October 15, 2026. The motorcycle could reach India in 2027 alongside the F 450 R.

Although BMW has not announced its Indian price, the F 450 RR could cost less than the F 450 GS, which starts at Rs. 4.95 lakh (ex showroom). Once launched, it will compete with the Aprilia RS 457 in India.
