Xoom 125 & 160: Design & Looks

The design of the Hero Xoom 125 is an enjoyable improvement from Hero's earlier scooters. It has a sporty look because of the sleek side and tail sections, as well as the front apron's integrated LED lighting.

Conversely, the Xoom 160 has a towering posture and strong bodywork. It adheres to the maxi-scooter's design language by incorporating a proper spine in the core. Moreover, its tall frame was inspired by an ADV.

Specifications and Features

A 156cc, single-cylinder engine powers the Xoom 160. This setup produces 13.7 Nm at 6,500 rpm and 14 bhp at 8,000 rpm. Situated within an underbone frame, the motor is equipped with a CVT. Additionally, it has dual-rear springs and telescopic front forks for suspension. Lastly, it has 14-inch wheels with a front disc and a rear drum brake as part of its braking system. In terms of features, it has LED lighting, an LCD, keyless operation, and an ignition dial.

In contrast, the Xoom 125 features a monoschock and a telescopic fork that support its underbone chassis. Actually, it is the first 125cc scooter to run on 14-inch wheels. Regarding the brakes, there is a drum brake in the back and a single disc in front.

Among its many other features are scroll-style turn indicators and all-LED lighting. The instrument cluster is completely digital and provides clear, helpful information. It shows the distance to empty as well as the average fuel usage. It also has standard indications such as a fuel gauge, speedometer, and tell-tale lights.
