Ather to Reveal New EL Scooter Platform at Community Day 2025

Ather Energy is preparing for its big annual event, the Ather Community Day, which is expected to be held in late August 2025. At this event, the company will reveal its new electric scooter platform called EL. This platform aims to support a wider variety of scooters across different price ranges. Along with this, Ather will also introduce its latest software upgrade AtherStack 7.0 and a new generation of fast chargers to enhance the overall EV experience for riders.

What Does the EL Platform Mean?

 
The EL platform is Ather’s effort to create budget-friendly scooters below the 450X and Rizta range. It reuses the existing battery and software but uses a new powertrain, electronics, and chassis to lower costs and expand appeal. With this move, Ather aims to deliver simpler scooters that still retain their quality while being more affordable.

EL Platform and Concept Scooters

Ather will showcase concept electric scooters built on the EL framework. These concepts will hint at upcoming models that could fill different market gaps. With a flexible design, EL allows the firm to mix features and price points more easily than before.

AtherStack 7.0 and Faster Chargers

Alongside the EL platform, Ather will introduce AtherStack 7.0, the next version of its in-house software suite. The update promises fresh features and smoother interface performance. Moreover, Ather plans to present a new generation of fast chargers at the event. The chargers aim to deliver quicker charging speeds, stronger connectivity, and a better ownership experience.

Event Details and Last Year’s Highlights

While an exact date is yet to be announced, the gathering will happen near the end of August. This year’s theme is “Technology that works like magic.” At the previous Community Day in April 2024, Ather launched the Ather Rizta scooter, the Halo smart helmet, and AtherStack 6.0. By revealing the EL platform, Ather Energy hopes to expand its scooter lineup and strengthen its position in the growing electric two-wheeler market.
