Ather 450S 3.7kWh Variant Launched at Rs. 1.45 Lakh

Ather Energy has launched a new variant of its electric scooter, the 450S, with a 3.7kWh battery. This model now offers a longer range and more value for customers. Priced at Rs. 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru), the new scooter delivers a certified range of 161km. It matches the range of the more expensive 450X and aims to give better value in the premium electric scooter market.

Gets the same riding modes and tech features

 
The new Ather 450S variant comes with four riding modes, including  Smart Eco, Eco, Ride, and Sport. These modes let riders shift between the best range and better speed according to their need. The scooter also comes with a 7-inch display with Bluetooth support and turn-by-turn navigation.  
Brightness adjusts automatically based on lighting conditions with this Ather scooter. The screen works with AtherStack Pro software for added functions.

Ather Offers the Same Motor with Improved Range

The new 3.7kWh battery scooter is the key update in this Ather 450S variant. Furthermore, it comes equipped with the same IDC-certified range of 161km that buyers get with the top-spec 450X model.  
Moreover, Ather's electric motor remains the same 5.4kW unit, producing 22 Nm torque and giving a 0–40 km/h time of 3.9 seconds. This ensures the scooter maintains its quick performance while offering more distance per charge.

Design remains unchanged from the other 450 models

In terms of appearance, the 450S 3.7kWh variant looks just like the rest of the Ather 450 series. The design continues with the sharp and sporty style, along with LED headlamps and a clean overall finish. 
In addition to that, there is no change in dimensions or bodywork, which keeps the identity of the scooter the same. Build quality and exterior styling remain one of the highlights of the 450 series.

Safety and smart features included

Ather has kept all major safety features in this version too. Features like AutoHold, Fall Safe, and Emergency Stop Signal are present. Alexa voice control is also supported, giving riders hands-free control while riding.  
The scooter receives regular OTA updates that improve system performance and features over time. Charging time from 0 to 80% is about 4.5 hours using the home charger.

Bookings open, deliveries start in August

Customers can now book the Ather 450S 3.7kWh variant through official Ather retail stores or online. Ather company has confirmed that deliveries will begin in August 2025.
