Aprilia has added a fresh splash of excitement to its Tuono 457 by unveiling a brand-new “Mantis Purple” colour at EICMA 2025 in Milan, Italy. Earlier, this sporty street bike was available only in Puma Grey and Piranha Red. With this new purple shade, the Tuono 457 now looks even more eye-catching and youthful, which perfectly matches its aggressive design.

The new colour scheme brings purple paint to the front headlight cowl, fuel tank, and sleek tail section, while the fuel tank extension features bold red graphics. This mix of colours gives the bike a lively and energetic appearance. It still carries the same sharp styling that the Tuono series is known for, but the purple tone adds a unique twist that makes it stand out from the crowd.
The Tuono 457 continues to be powered by a 457cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine that produces 47.6 PS at 9,400rpm and 43.5 Nm at 6,700rpm. The motor comes paired with a smooth 6-speed gearbox. There’s also a bidirectional quickshifter as an optional accessory, while it’s standard on the RS 457.
In terms of features, the bike comes with a full LED lighting setup, a 5-inch TFT display, and several rider aids such as multiple ride modes, ride-by-wire throttle, traction control, and dual-channel ABS.
The bike gets an inverted fork at the front and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. Moreover, it rides on 17-inch wheels wrapped with grippy TVS Protorq Extreme tyres. This offers both comfort and confidence on the road.
