Ampere opened more than 50 new Experience Centers across 15 states during the Navratri festive period, as announced on October 9, 2026. The expansion takes its total network beyond 600 centers, doubling its sales and service footprint in just over a year.
The move aims to bring electric scooters, sales assistance and after sales support closer to buyers. For customers, a larger network could make exploring and maintaining an Ampere scooter more convenient.
Ampere, the electric two wheeler brand of Greaves Electric Mobility, has expanded across four regions. The new centers cover major markets in northern, southern, eastern and western India.
The expansion includes:
India’s electric two wheeler penetration is approaching 11%, according to the company. As more buyers consider electric scooters, accessible dealerships and reliable service support become increasingly important.
The expanded network gives customers access to Ampere’s electric scooter range, catering to different riding needs.
The portfolio includes the Ampere Nexus EX+, featuring a new 5 kW motor, and the Magnus GMax with connected technology. The Magnus Neo targets comfortable city riding, while the Reo Vyb caters to younger riders.
The Nexus EX+ and Magnus G Max also offer the optional Intellipack, which includes more than 30 convenience features. Ampere says its Nexus platform has tackled Kolli Hills’ 70 hairpin bends and reached Shipki La Pass at 13,200 feet.
The Magnus GMax IoT has also completed a nearly 4,000 km east to west ride across India.
Ampere says its scooters use next generation lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery technology. The company offers a standard battery warranty of up to five years or 75,000 km. It also claims a battery life of up to 2,00,000 km.
However, buyers should confirm the applicable warranty terms for their chosen model before purchasing. They should also check service availability and charging options near their homes.
Commenting on the expansion, Mr. Vikas Singh, Managing Director of Greaves Electric Mobility, said, “Building a nationwide network of Experience Centers is a critical pillar of Ampere’s aggressive growth journey. We are moving with speed, and we have doubled our footprint in just over a year. This reflects the scale of our ambition and our commitment to bring product experience, sales and dependable service closer to customers in every priority market. Under our ‘Built for Bharat’ approach, we are creating not merely a larger distribution network, but a strong and trusted ownership ecosystem for India’s rapidly expanding electric mobility market.”
Ampere competes in India’s electric scooter market alongside brands such as TVS, Bajaj, Ather and Ola Electric. Its expanded network could help buyers who prioritise dealership access and service support.
The company’s next challenge will be maintaining consistent service quality as the network grows. For buyers, local service access, battery warranty terms and real world range remain important factors when choosing an electric scooter.
