The Katana has a 999cc inline-four liquid-cooled engine. It produces 150.19 bhp @ 11000 rpm of power and 106 Nm @ 9250 rpm of torque. This engine is derived from Suzuki's GSX-R1000 platform, so performance is sharp and refined.

The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. It comes with a slipper clutch and a bidirectional quickshifter. This makes gear shifts smooth, especially during quick rides or downshifts.
