OLA S1 Pro Gen 3 Ownership Review

OLA S1 Pro Gen 3 Ownership Review

I have been using the OLA S1 Pro Gen 3 for the past 3 to 4 months for office travel and regular city rides. The top speed of 123 km/h feels sufficient, therefore performance remains suitable for my regular riding needs. Most of my rides include traffic, short market runs, and some open road stretches, so my riding pattern stays quite regular.

So first things first: The scooter feels light, which makes the handling in traffic easy and controlled. Moreover, the chain drive setup improves pickup, and so acceleration feels quicker in city conditions. The key ignition feels simple, and pressing the brake with the self button quickly became a daily habit.

Here’s what I personally experienced after using the OLA S1 Pro Gen 3 regularly.

  • Switching between Eco, Normal, and Sports modes feels smooth while riding, so control stays consistent without any interruption.
  • Throttle response remained predictable, though riding in traffic feels comfortable and controlled in most situations.
  • The wide seat made a difference in daily comfort, even on longer rides feeling less tiring.
  • The 34 L boot space helped a lot, carrying helmets and small items became easy.

1. How did the OLA S1 Pro Gen 3 feel in daily traffic?

In my daily rides, the scooter feels quick and easy to manage, so moving through traffic was smooth and stress-free. The pickup feels strong at signals, crossing intersections feels quick and controlled. However, Sports mode feels slightly aggressive in traffic, so I preferred Normal mode most of the time.

2.Was the ride comfortable for daily use?

From my experience, the suspension handled speed breakers and uneven roads decently, which made the comfort stay balanced during daily rides. The seat height of 791 mm suited my posture well, making stopping and moving feels natural in traffic conditions. The sharp potholes were still noticeable, so I slowed down on rough patches.

3.How useful were the features in real riding?

I used cruise control on open roads, the speed maintaining feels easy without constant throttle input. Further, the braking while cruise control was active worked smoothly, & the scooter slowed down safely and conveniently. The reverse mode helped during parking, but the throttle direction feels unusual initially.

4.How did it perform on short highway rides?

On short highway stretches, I experienced strong acceleration, and reaching higher speeds feels effortless when required. The scooter stayed stable at higher speeds, which made riding on straight roads feel more confident and controlled. However, I stayed cautious due to road conditions, but I avoided pushing it too hard.

5. What challenges did I face during usage?

Initially, the reverse throttle control feels confusing, as it took some time to get used to properly. Moreover, from the braking perspective it feels slightly soft, so I maintained extra distance in traffic for better safety. Also the range varied with riding mode preferences, therefore I avoided continuous use of Sports mode.

6.What was my overall experience with the OLA S1 Pro Gen 3?

From my daily usage, the scooter handled city rides smoothly and without major issues. In addition, comfort, storage, and performance matched my needs, and daily commuting feels easy and convenient. The riding habits made a difference, because using the right mode improved the overall riding experience.

Here’s a quick summary of what I liked during my usage and where I faced some concerns. Moreover, after riding it regularly in different conditions, I could clearly notice both its strengths and a few limitations in daily use.

Pros:

  • The scooter feels very easy to control in daily traffic, which makes the city rides remain smooth and manageable.
  • The acceleration feels quick due to the chain drive setup, as it helps moving from signals become faster.
  • The battery performance stayed consistent in my usage, and I did not need to charge it very often.
  • The large under-seat storage made daily tasks easier, which helps carrying essentials never feels difficult.
  • Features like cruise control worked well on open roads, and the riding feels more relaxed at steady speeds.

Cons:

  • Sports mode feels a bit too sharp in crowded areas, so keeping careful throttle control becomes necessary.
  • The braking response could feel stronger, so I stayed more alert during sudden stops.
  • The reverse function took some time to understand, and initially parking feels slightly confusing.
  • Rough patches on roads still feel noticeable, as the ride comfort drops on bad surfaces.
