Ola Gen-3 S1X and S1X+ Launched at Rs 80,000

Ola Electric, the top producer of electric scooters in India, recently launched its next-generation S1X and S1X+ models. The brand has upgraded to the Gen-3 platform, which is a big improvement over Gen-2. This update follows Ola’s 18-month upgrade cycle, ensuring regular improvements to their scooters. Gen-2, on the other hand, will still be available for purchase at much lower costs. Let's check the new updates below:
 

Ola S1X & S1X+: What’s New?

According to the brand, these electric scooters are all-new in every way. The chassis has been completely rebuilt and is now much lighter. Both the battery packs and the motor have undergone extensive renovations. In an effort to cut costs, Ola Electric chose to equip this scooter with a chain drive. Additionally, it has a mid-drive motor and an in-built MCU. For the braking system, the wire Tech has recently added to this scooter. Furthermore, standard features include a front disc brake and segmented LCD treatment for the instrument cluster.
 

Ola S1X & S1X+: Battery and Range

Three different battery capacities will be offered for the new Ola S1X: 2kWh, 3kWh, and 4kWh. The 2kWh and 3kWh battery variants are priced at Rs 90,000, and the 4kWh is priced at RS 1 lakh. The 4kWh variant is said to have an IDC riding range of 242 km and a peak speed of 123 kmph. Additionally, with an IDC range of 176 km, the 3kWh can reach speeds of up to 113 kmph. On the other hand, the 2kWh, the least expensive model, can reach speeds of up to 101 kmph and go just 108 kilometres. Furthermore. for the top-spec model, the maximum power output is 9.3 bhp, and it can go from 0 to 40 kmph in 3 seconds.
 

Ola S1X & S1X+: Warranty and Colour Options

There will be five colours available for the new Ola S1X: white, blue, red, silver, and black. A three-year/40,000-kilometer warranty is included with the scooters. However, for an extra Rs 14,999, consumers can choose to extend the battery warranty to 8 years or 1.25 lakh.
