Kinetic Watts & Volts Partners with Jio Things for Connected EVs

Kinetic Watts & Volts (KWV) has announced a new technology partnership with Jio Things to develop next-generation connected electric vehicles in India. The collaboration aims to introduce smart digital features across all upcoming Kinetic electric two-wheelers. Perhaps this move will make connected EV technology more common and accessible for everyday riders in the country.

Focus on Smarter and More Connected EVs

Through this partnership, KWV plans to integrate voice assistance, smart digital clusters, and IoT-based connectivity into its electric two-wheelers. In addition, the goal is to improve safety, convenience, and real-time vehicle monitoring. Jio Things, a subsidiary of Jio Platforms, brings its full-stack IoT ecosystem to the table, which includes connectivity, cloud support, device management, and after-sales services.

The collaboration is expected to play an important role in supporting India’s shift toward intelligent and sustainable mobility. By combining Kinetic’s experience in vehicle manufacturing with Jio’s digital expertise, both companies aim to deliver EVs that are not only electric but also digitally advanced.

Key Digital Features Planned for KWV EVs

Through this association, KWV will introduce a suite of new digital capabilities enabled by Jio’s IoT ecosystem. These include:

  • Voice-assisted vehicle interaction for convenience and safety
  • Smart digital instrument clusters with real-time data
  • Connected mobility features for performance monitoring and diagnostics
  • Enhanced infotainment applications
  • Telematics and cloud-based analytics for fleet operators

These features will be available across all upcoming KWV electric models. This ensures a consistent digital experience for private buyers as well as commercial users.

Leadership Views on Collaboration

Speaking on the partnership, Mr. Ajinkya Firodia, Vice Chairman & Managing Director of Kinetic Watts & Volts, said, “Kinetic has always stood for democratizing mobility and innovation. With this partnership, we now extend that commitment into digital mobility, bringing voice assistance and connected features to everyday riders, so technology becomes truly intuitive and useful. This collaboration also stays true to our motto of ‘Easy’ a philosophy already visible in practical features such as Easy Key, Easy Flip and Easy Charge; and now strengthened with seamless digital experiences that simplify ownership for our customers.”

Mr. Ashish Lodha, President at Jio Platforms, also highlighted that, “Our partnership with Kinetic exemplifies our vision to build a truly connected automotive ecosystem in India. By bringing Jio’s voice assistance and IoT capabilities to the two-wheeler segment, we are not just upgrading vehicles; we are redefining the interaction between man and machine, bringing the benefits of smart mobility to every Indian rider.”

Overall, this tie-up marks an important step in Kinetic’s journey from a legacy mobility brand to a future-ready electric vehicle company.
