Indian Motorcycle has introduced its new Signature Series, a limited collection of premium touring motorcycles. The lineup includes the Indian Challenger, Chieftain PowerPlus, Pursuit, and Roadmaster PowerPlus. The company has created this exclusive range during its 125th anniversary celebrations. However, it has not confirmed whether these motorcycles will be offered in the Indian market.
The Signature Series focuses on the brand's modern PowerPlus motorcycles instead of its classic models. In addition, each motorcycle receives a premium paint finish with extra attention to detail.
For example, the Chieftain PowerPlus Signature Series features an Abyss Metallic base colour with Venom Green and Cypher Green graphics. The special graphics flow across the fairing, fuel tank, and luggage cases, giving the motorcycle a unique appearance. Perhaps these exclusive colours will attract buyers looking for a luxury touring motorcycle.
All four motorcycles use the 1,834cc liquid cooled PowerPlus 112 V twin engine. This engine produces 126 bhp and 180 Nm of peak torque, offering strong performance for long distance touring.
The Indian Challenger and Chieftain PowerPlus serve as the bagger models in the lineup. The Challenger comes with a chassis mounted fairing, while the Chieftain uses a fork mounted fairing.
Meanwhile, the Indian Pursuit and Roadmaster PowerPlus are designed for touring enthusiasts. They offer a large rear storage box, extra passenger comfort, and over 136 litres of weather resistant luggage space. In addition, these motorcycles feature heated seats, heated grips, an electrically adjustable windscreen, remote locking luggage, and adjustable passenger floorboards for greater comfort on long rides.
The Signature Series also comes with several modern safety features. These include lean sensitive ABS, traction control, electronically linked braking, bike hold control, blind spot warning, tailgate warning, and rear collision warning lights.
Although Indian Motorcycle has not announced availability for India, the limited Signature Series highlights the brand's focus on premium touring motorcycles. More details about global availability may be revealed in the coming months.
