Honda Transalp 750, Coming to the Indian Shores Sooner Than You Might Expect!

Honda Transalp 750, Coming to the Indian Shores Sooner Than You Might Expect!

Prominent brand Honda brought back the Transalp moniker with its new XL750 Transalp adventure bike, unveiled at last year’s EICMA show. Here’s the good news for bike enthusiasts - This model is likely to be launched in India soon. Let’s know more about this bike.

Honda Transalp 750: Specifications

The Honda Transalp 750 will be powered by a liquid-cooled, 755cc, parallel-twin mill, producing 92 bhp at 9,500 rpm & 75 Nm at 7,250 rpm outputs. However, it has been noticed that in India, Honda’s big bikes produce slightly less power than their international versions. Therefore, it still remains a question if the brand will follow the same pattern for the upcoming Transalp 750.

In addition, this bike’s engine will be paired with a 6-speed gearbox, with a slip & assist clutch, as well as a bi-directional quick-shifter. The engine will be covered with a diamond steel frame supported by a USD fork & monoshock setup, featuring preload adjustability by Showa

With a 208 kg kerb weight, the bike will stand out as one of the lightest large-capacity ADV bikes in the country. This model will be fitted with tubed wire-spoke rims size 90/90-21 (front) & 150/70-R18. This bike will come with an 850 mm seat height for better accessibility. Nonetheless, the Transalp 750 will have a low seat option, bringing it down to a more accessible 820 mm. Interestingly, in India, Honda has previously sold a lower-seat version of the Africa Twin as standard. Let’s see if the brand has similar plans for the upcoming Transalp 750.

Honda Transalp 750: Features

Speaking of features, this upcoming bike will be equipped with a wide range of high-tech features. The upcoming Transalp 750 will feature 5 riding modes - 4 preset & 1 customisable. In addition, this bike will also have 4-engine power modes, 5-traction control levels, 3-engine braking levels & 2-ABS levels. Moreover, you’ll have an option to switch the traction control & rear ABS off.

Honda Transalp 750: Expected Price & Rivals

In terms of price, the upcoming Honda Transalp 750 is expected to range between Rs. 10.50 Lakhs - Rs. 11.50 Lakhs in India. Moreover, with offering this price, this upcoming bike will have many rivals, including the Triumph Tiger 850 Sport (Rs. 11.95 Lakhs) & the BMW F 850 GS (Rs. 12.95 Lakhs). However, Transalp will be lighter than both the rivals and will compete against their power outputs. You can expect a slightly higher price than the international markets as this bike will enter India via the CBU route.
