Hero December 2023 Sales Report: Crossed 55 Lakh In Calendar Year

Hero MotoCorp reported sales of the calendar year 2023 saw a 5% increase, crossing the 55 lakh unit mark. Moreover, the total sales reached 55 lakh units in CY 2023.
The company is down by 0.6% in YoY sales from 3,94,179 units in 2022 to 3,93,952 units in December 2023. Also, MoM sales declined by 19.77% from the 4,91,050 units sold in November this year.

Here are the details of Hero’s YoY sales:
- In the motorcycles segment, Hero has sold 3,54,658 units in December 2023 from last year’s 3,56,749.
- The company has seen a growth of 4.98% in scooter sales by selling 1,864 more units than 37,430 scooters in December 2022.
- In the previous year's domestic sales, Hero sold 3,81,365 vehicles. In comparison to this, 3,77,842 units were sold in December 2023.
- Hero has recorded 25.72% growth in the current year's export sales.

Below is the data on Hero’s MoM sales:
- There is a 19.63% degrowth in motorcycle sales in MoM, with a difference of 86,618 units.
- This month, the company sold 39,294 scooters. Meanwhile, last month, the numbers were 49,774.
- Hero has registered a hike in domestic sales by 9.12% and sold 1,346 more vehicles.
- A decline of 20.67% has been seen in the company’s domestic sales.

Hero MotoCorp sold more two-wheelers in the current financial year (April-December 2023) than they did in the same period last year.
- Sales rose 3.38% to over 37,67,768 units of motorcycles and a 15.08% increase in scooter sales.
- The growth was mainly driven by domestic sales, which were up 4.43%. Exports, however, slipped slightly by 2.05%.
Moreover, the brand has tied up with Ather Energy to expand its network and EV charging infrastructure.
