Harley Davidson X440 Launched In India At Rs. 2.29 Lakh

The X440 will be available in three variants, Denim, Vivid, and S, with several features.

Harley Davidson X440 was launched in India at a starting price of Rs. 2.29 lakhs for the base Denim variant. The Top Spec S variant price goes up to Rs. 2.69 Lakhs. The X440's is powered by a single-cylinder, air/oil-cool, 440cc engine that delivers 27hp at 6,000rpm and 38Nm of torque at 4,000rpm. A 6-speed transmission is mated to this massive thumper. 

A steel trellis frame supported by a 43mm USD fork and dual shock absorber arrangement houses this powerplant. Braking duties are handled by a 320mm front rotor, and dual-channel ABS is standard. The seat height of the HD X440 is a reasonable 805mm.

The bike weighs 190.5kg and provides fine handling, stability, and fuel efficiency. The HD X440 has a 13.5-litre fuel tank capacity. The bike's ground clearance is 170mm, which is beneficial for riding over obstacles and uneven surfaces. The bike is equipped with MRF Zapper Hyke tires and the front tire size is 100/90-18, while the rear tire size is 140/70-17. 

Features of HD X440 Variants

The base Denim variant of the HD X440 features wire-spoke rims and minimal badging. It has a distinctive style and is characterised by a yellow tank on a black bike, including a USB charging port as a standard feature.

The mid-tier Vivid variant of the HD X440 comes with alloy wheels and dual-tone paint options. It provides the choice between Metallic Thick Red or Metallic Dark Silver colors. It also includes a USB charging port as standard similar to the base variant, 

The top-spec S variant of the HD X440 is equipped with diamond-cut alloy wheels, machine engine cooling fins, and 3D badging. Additionally, it features a colour TFT dash with Bluetooth connectivity, enabling navigation and notification alerts. The top-spec S variant is available only in a stealthy Matte Black colour. Like the other variants, it includes a USB charging port as standard.

Price of Harley X440 and Comparisons with Royal Enfield

The Denim variant of the HD X440 is priced at Rs 2.29 lakh, with subsequent variants increasing by Rs 20,000 each. Therefore, the Vivid costs Rs 2.49 lakh and the top-spec S costs Rs 2.69 lakh. Comparing the Royal Enfield Classic 350, prices range from Rs 1.93 lakh to Rs 2.21 lakh. The HD X440 has a price of Rs 35,000 higher than the Classic 350.
