The upcoming BMW F 450 GS has entered the booking phase across India ahead of its official debut. Buyers can now reserve the motorcycle at BMW Motorrad dealerships with a flexible booking amount based on location. Moreover, the company has confirmed that the bike will launch in India on April 23, 2026. However, early demand appears strong, as some dealers report that the top spec Trophy variant is already sold out in select areas.

Pre-bookings for the BMW F 450 GS have started at dealerships across multiple cities in India. Therefore, customers can secure their booking by paying an amount between Rs 10,000 & Rs 50,000. The exact booking amount depends on the state & dealership location. In addition, reports suggest that demand has been high from the initial phase itself, especially for higher variants.

Launch Date and Production Details

The BMW F 450 GS will officially launch in India on April 23, 2026. Hence, buyers will not have to wait long for full pricing and deliveries. Moreover, the motorcycle will be manufactured locally by TVS Motor Company at its Hosur plant, which helps manage production efficiently.

Engine and Expected Price Range

The BMW F 450 GS is expected to come with a price of around Rs 5.50 lakh ex-showroom. Therefore, it will enter the mid capacity adventure motorcycle segment in India. Power will come from a new 420cc parallel twin engine producing 47.58 PS and 43 Nm. In addition, this setup aims to handle both highway touring & light off road riding conditions.

Expected Rivals in the Segment

The BMW F 450 GS will have a number of adventure motorcycles within this category after its launch. It will compete with the twin cylinder (Honda NX500 and Benelli TRK 502) in the market. Competition will however also feature individual cylinder models such as the KTM 390 Adventure and Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 that already shows to be a popular choice.
