Benelli Unveils its TRK 902 Xplorer: Check Specs & Features

With the introduction of the Benelli TRK 902 Xplorer, the market for tough adventure motorcycles has a new competitor. The Chinese-owned Italian brand’s new model to compete with popular bikes like the KTM 890 Adventure R and Yamaha Tenere 700. This latest offering focuses on balancing two key factors: affordability and performance. By doing so, it aims to carve out its own space in the competitive adventure bike market.
 

Power & Performance

The TRK 902 Xplorer is powered by a 904cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine. This engine is based on the 754cc engine and produces about 99 bhp. However, the bore and the stroke have been expanded in order to enhance the displacement and provide greater performance. There is not much data on whether the bike has a quick-shifter, but this engine is paired to a six-speed gearbox.
 

Upgrades have also been made to the throttle bodies, which are now 46 mm in size, 3 mm larger than they were previously. This engine offers improved performance characteristics appropriate for both off-road exploration and on-road riding. Moreover, the bike also meets the Euro5+ emissions criteria.
 

Notably, the ground clearance has been increased to around 230mm, which improves its capacity to operate in a range of terrains. Whether on rough or wet trails—without sacrificing comfort or stability.
