Bajaj Auto 2023 January Sales Report Reveals

Bajaj Auto Limited reports a 21% drop in overall sales in January 2023. 2,85,995 units were sold in the preceding month, which is fewer than the 3,63,443 units that were sold in January 2022. Sales of two-wheelers decreased, although sales of commercial vehicles rose. Total sales for Bajaj Auto in December 2022 were 2,81,486 units, which was likewise an MoM de-growth.

Bajaj Auto's two-wheeler sales fell 25% YoY to 2,41,107 units in January 2023 from 3,23,430 units delivered in January 2022. However, the company did better in domestic markets, selling 1,40,428 two-wheelers last month, an increase of 4% from the 1,35,496 units sold in January 2022.

Electric 2W, including the Pulsar, Platina, Avenger, Dominar, CT, and Chetak, saw strong sales in this market sector. However, exports fell 46% to 1,00,679 units from 1,87,934 units sent in January 2022.

Total sales for the two-wheeler market fell 10% year to far to 29,58,346 units, from 33,01,195 units sold during the same month but last year. On the other hand, domestic two-wheeler sales climbed by 7% to 15,31,126 units YoY from 14,37,480 units during the same time in 2022. However, compared to the 18,63,715 units sold during the same period the previous year, exports decreased by 23%, to 14,27,220 units, from April through January of 2023.
