Ather Energy has launched the all new Konarc electric scooter in India, with prices starting at Rs 99,999 (ex showroom). It is the brand’s new family focused electric scooter and is based on the new EL 01 platform. The Konarc is positioned below Ather’s existing models and becomes its most affordable electric scooter.
The Ather Konarc is offered in two lines, namely S Line and Z Line. The S Line gets four range options, while the Z Line is available with two range options. Prices for the S Line start at Rs 99,999 and go up to Rs 1.45 lakh. The prices of the Z Line variants are yet to be announced.
The new Electric scooter is available with multiple battery and range options. The S Line gets 100 km, 125 km, 161 km and 200 km range options. However, the 200 km version is yet to receive its price.

The S Line variants get battery packs ranging from 2.1 kWh to 3.5 kWh. The 100 km version produces 4 kW of peak power and 16 Nm of peak torque. The 125 km and 161 km versions produce 4.7 kW and 16 Nm.
All three listed S Line variants have a claimed top speed of 70 kmph. The 100 km version takes 5 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 40 kmph. The 125 km and 161 km versions complete the same sprint in 4.7 seconds.

The Konarc gets a TFT instrument console running Ather’s AtherStack 7 operating system. It supports smartphone connectivity, turn by turn navigation, music controls, SMS alerts and call notifications.
Ather has also introduced a Magic Key key fob for keyless operation. The scooter can automatically lock when the key fob moves away. It also alerts the rider if the key fob is lost.
The key fob includes a dedicated button for opening the underseat storage. This allows riders to access the storage without operating the scooter manually.
The Konarc also gets a 450 W onboard charger. Riders can pair it with a 450 W portable charger for a combined 900 W charging capacity.
The Konarc is available in 4 colour options: Quartz White/Blue, Majestic Grey/Black, Celestial Gold/Blue, and Lumen Copper/Black.
The new Ather Konarc uses the company’s EL 01 platform with an all new chassis. It has a 1,352 mm wheelbase and gets a telescopic front fork with a rear monoshock.
One of its major highlights is the 14 inch alloy wheel setup at both ends. Braking hardware includes a front disc and rear drum with CBS. It also introduces Ather’s AeBS, which can offer up to 20% higher peak braking force, according to the company.
The Konarc will compete with electric scooters such as the TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak and Hero Vida VX2. With multiple range options, large wheels and connected features, Ather aims to attract family scooter buyers.
