Ather Energy’s Fast Charging Network Crosses 1,000 Active Stations in India

Over 1,000 Grid fast-charging stations have now been built throughout India by Bengaluru-based startup Ather Energy. Earlier this year, we announced that Ather had set up its 580th Grid charging station.

Given that it has already exceeded its aim by more than 70%, Ather’s prior announcement that it would deploy 1,400 Grid stations by FY23 looks completely feasible.

The Vida V1 e-scooter, Hero MotoCorp’s first electric two-wheeler product, employs the same open-sourced connector design as Ather’s and connects to this network with a 1.2km/min fast-charging capacity. As a result, owners of Vida V1 scooters can now efficiently connect them to Ather’s fast-charging network.

Ather recently released its one-millionth unit, a True Red 450X, and updated its 450X e-scooter lineup for 2023 with new colours and features.
