Aprilia has launched its new SR 175 and SR 125 scooters in India. They offer better performance and updated features. These scooters carry forward the brand’s sporty DNA but with refined engines and modern technology.
The SR 175 replaces the older SR 160, while the SR 125 gets a major upgrade, too. Both scooters aim to give fun, style, and daily practicality for urban riders.
Aprilia has finally launched the SR 175 in India, replacing the older SR 160 scooter. The SR 175 is priced at Rs. 1.26 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs. 1.33 lakh. The design stays the same as the SR 160, with sharp lines and sporty bodywork.
You still get the aggressive and youthful look, which has made this scooter popular. Aprilia offers the SR 175 in two colours, including Matte Prismatic Dark and Glossy Tech White.

The biggest change in the SR 175 is its 174.7cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. This motor now makes 13.08bhp at 7,200rpm and 14.14 Nm of torque at 6,000rpm. Compared to the SR 160’s 11.11bhp, the SR 175 offers a noticeable boost in performance.
It comes with a CVT automatic transmission, offering smooth and easy city rides. The engine feels more responsive and powerful, especially during quick overtakes or uphill climbs.
The Aprilia SR 175 now comes with a new 5.5-inch full-colour TFT instrument cluster. This replaces the old LCD unit and is similar to the one on the Aprilia RS 457. Moreover, it supports Bluetooth connectivity, allowing call alerts and trip info on the display.
Other features include LED headlamps, LED indicators, and a handy USB charging port. These updates make the scooter more modern, useful, and ready for today’s tech-savvy riders.

Aprilia has also launched the new SR 125 as a more affordable sporty option. It sits below the SR 175 in the lineup, with prices starting at Rs. 1.20 lakh and goes up to Rs. 1.26 lakh, depending on the state.
The SR 125 now features a more refined 124.45cc single-cylinder engine, paired with a CVT gearbox. It produces 10.5bhp at 7,400rpm and 10.4Nm of torque at 6,200rpm. This is ideal for quick city rides, short commutes, and light weekend cruising.
The Aprilia SR 125 uses Aprilia’s new hp.e engine platform, which gives better efficiency and smoother power. Furthermore, the top speed is around 90kmph, which is good for a 125cc scooter. It also gets the same 5.5-inch TFT screen, full LED lighting, and digital updates. The design stays sporty with carbon-finished panels and wide cushioned seats for more comfort.
Both scooters come in eye-catching colour options, like Prismatic Dark, Glossy Red with Matte Black, and Tech White. The SR 125 competes with models like TVS Ntorq 125, Suzuki Avenis, and Yamaha Ray ZR 125.
On the other hand, the SR175 rivals the TVS Ntorq 125 Race XP, but stands apart due to its bigger engine. Yes, Aprilia’s prices are on the higher side, but these scooters offer a premium build and sport-focused design.
