2023 BMW Motorrad GS Experience: Highlights from Mumbai Event!

BMW Motorrad began its highly anticipated training program - The GS Experience 2023, in Mumbai on 4-5 March 2023. This event offered an adventurous opportunity to experience the exceptional capabilities of BMW’s class-leading GS range of bikes. The 2-day event was packed with training sessions that were designed exclusively for BMW Adventure bikes. The event took place at BAR - Academy of Motorcycling, Vajreshwari Road, Mumbai, Maharashtra.

BMW Motorrad is going to host this 2-day biking event for GS fanatics across 11 cities in India - Delhi, Mumbai, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kochi, Bengaluru, Kolkata and Lucknow.

This immersive brand event is designed exclusively for BMW GS bike owners to help riders to master the off-road riding basics. Day 1 was dedicated to the BMW GS owners of 650cc and above GS bikes. While day 2 was for all the BMW 310 GS riders. The training sessions revolved around basic familiarity with the bike, learning the correct posture while riding, and enduro steering. It also included training such as gravel riding, emergency braking and stops over slopes and riding on inclines. 

The BMW Motorrad GS Experience training preambles the search for “Team India”, a GS Rider trio forming a team to contest the International GS Trophy. BMW Motorrad recently announced that Namibia would become the next destination for International GS Trophy. The company will organise the GS Trophy qualifiers later in the year. 

The GS Experience showed a tonne of the dynamic quality of all the GS Models in real-world conditions and all the techniques to enhance the spirit of GS, keeping safety as the highest priority. Every session included a briefing and a detailed demonstration by BMW certified trainer. The trainer took riders through an impressive array of technologies featuring on the GS models.
