2023 Bajaj Chetak is Here And It Offers Longer Range Per Charge

Bajaj Auto has finally pulled the wraps off its 2023 Chetak E-Scooter. The new scooter now comes with a refurbished colour palette and multiple futuristic upgrades. Scroll further to find out what’s new!

Colours & Other New Features

The 2023 Iteration of the Bajaj Chetak electric scooter now boasts 3 new shades - Satin Black, Matte Caribbean Blue and Matte Coarse Grey, kicking the old colour palettes off the table. 

In addition to new colours, the 2023 Bajaj Chetak is now equipped with 

• A larger, coloured LCD console, 
• Dual-tone seat,
• Body-coloured rear-view mirrors, and
• Grab Rail, pillion footrest and lighting accents are now blacked out.

As for its technical specifications, no upgrades have been made to the scooter’s drivetrain front. However, the ARAI-certified range is now at 108 km as opposed to the 90km claimed range on its current model. This probably means the presence of a Battery Management System (BMS). 

Bajaj Chetak 2023 model features a keyless entry and a metallic body giving it a rather premium feel. However, it majorly lacks the performance that will help it further compete with its competitors in the market. A stronger and more powerful motor is something that is lacking in the new Chetak.

As for the 2023 Bajaj Chetak price in India, it is set at Rs 1,51,910 (ex-showroom Bengaluru). The company stated that it had changed its manufacturing techniques to help reduce the overall pricing of the electric scooter. To give you an idea of the price reduction, the price for the older model was Rs 1,51,958 (ex-showroom Delhi, including subsidies).
New 2023 Bajaj Chetak will continue to take on the premium e-scooter segment, including TVS iQube S, Ather 450X, Ola S1 and Hero Vida V1.
