VinFast has patented a new electric scooter in India that could become its first India specific model. Interestingly, the design does not match any scooter in the company's existing Vietnamese line up or its previously shown concept models.
Earlier this year, VinFast filed patents for several existing models, including the Kinet and Viper scooters. In addition, the company patented the Rasad maxi scooter and Sulad motorcycle concept. However, this latest model appears to be a new design that VinFast has not officially revealed before.

The new scooter follows a simple and familiar design. It features a rear hub motor, telescopic front forks and dual hydraulic rear shock absorbers. Moreover, it appears to get a digital instrument cluster, which could use an LCD or TFT display.
The scooter also features 14 inch wheels at both ends. VinFast plans to attract buyers who prefer a simple and best electric scooter. Notably, several major rivals follow a similar design approach.
Meanwhile, VinFast continues to prepare for its entry into India's electric two wheeler market. The company recently signed letters of intent (LOIs) with more than 50 dealers across 15 states.
Therefore, VinFast could introduce a mix of existing models and new scooters to reach different buyers. However, the company has not announced a launch date for this new model.
More details about its design, features and pricing should emerge in the coming months, offering a clearer picture of VinFast's plans for India.
