Electric vehicle usage is growing in India, and charging access is becoming an important factor for buyers today. Therefore, brands are focusing on expanding charging networks across major cities & highways for better reach. In a recent update, Ultraviolette Automotive has partnered with Bolt.Earth to improve charging availability. This move aims to support daily usage and long distance travel for electric motorcycle users.

Ultraviolette has announced plans to expand the Type-6 DC charging network across multiple regions in India. Moreover, this standard is designed specifically for light electric vehicles, including electric bikes and scooters. The charging network is already active in states like Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Delhi. In addition, the company plans to upgrade 50 Bolt.Earth charging stations within the next two months.
All Ultraviolette electric vehicles will support this charging network, including upcoming models planned for future release. Hence, users will get better access without worrying about charger compatibility across different locations. The brands are also planning to install around 2000 charging stations over the next 24 months. Therefore, this expansion will help improve public charging access across urban & semi urban areas.

The current charging stations use 3kW DC fast chargers for efficient battery charging during daily usage. Moreover, Ultraviolette F77 and X-47 can charge from 0 to 80 percent in around 2.5 hours. In addition, a full charge takes close to 3.5 hours under standard conditions. Higher capacity 6kW and 12kW chargers will be introduced later to reduce charging time further.
The partnership also brings app-based features for better user experience and charging management. Therefore, riders can check charger availability and track charging sessions through mobile applications easily. Moreover, the system supports scan to pay functionality for quick and simple payments at charging stations.
