Ultraviolette has entered the adventure touring space with its all-new X47 Crossover electric motorcycle. The bike has been launched at Rs. 2.74 lakh (ex-showroom). However, the first 1,000 buyers will get it at a special introductory price of Rs. 2.49 lakh. Bookings are now open, and deliveries are set to begin from October 2025. Let’s know more about this electric adventure bike.

Design and Variants

X47 Crossover

The X47 looks like a proper adventure tourer, but on closer inspection, it combines design cues from both a street naked and an ADV. It gets a beak-style front fender, sculpted fuel tank, tall windscreen, and raked tail section. The body uses a cast aluminium sub-frame for strength and lightness. Moreover, Ultraviolette is offering three colour schemes, including Laser Red, Airstrike White, and Shadow Black. In addition, a special Desert Wing edition comes with touring equipment like a rear luggage rack, saddle stays, and panniers as standard.

Features and Technology

The X47 Crossover has its UV Hypersense radar system, a first in this price range. It provides blind spot detection, lane change assist, overtake alerts, and rear collision warnings. Furthermore, the radar is paired with dual cameras, which act as dash-cams and can display real-time footage on an optional secondary screen.

Apart from this, the bike gets switchable dual-channel ABS, traction control with multiple levels, nine levels of brake regeneration, and a colour TFT display. Riders can also access ride stats, lean angle data, and even use the eSIM for tracking and theft alerts.

Performance and Range

The Ultraviolette X47 runs on an electric motor producing 40hp and 100 Nm of torque. It can sprint from 0-60kmph in 2.7 seconds and reach 100kmph in 8.1 seconds, with a top speed of 145kmph. Two battery pack options are available: 7.1kWh with 211km IDC range and 10.3kWh with 323km IDC range. There is also a 1.6kW onboard charger included, and Ultraviolette says it is one of the most compact and power-dense chargers globally.

Ride and Practicality

On the hardware side, the bike features 41mm USD forks at the front and a rear monoshock, both offering 170mm of travel. The bike also comes with Bybre discs (320mm front, 230mm rear). The bike’s ground clearance stands at 208mm, which makes it suitable for Indian roads and light off-road touring.
