Piaggio India has kept the prices of the Aprilia RS457 and Tuono 457 steady despite GST revisions. The company decided to absorb the tax increase and extend benefits, ensuring affordability in the mid-capacity motorcycle segment. The new prices are now effective across India, shielding buyers from the recent GST impact announced earlier this month.

Piaggio India has announced that the Aprilia Tuono 457 will continue at the same ex-showroom price in Maharashtra. Hence, the motorcycle remains priced at Rs. 3,95,000 even after the GST increase. The Aprilia has fully absorbed the impact, making sure customers do not face additional costs. This step highlights Piaggio’s effort to keep demand stable in the growing performance bike segment.
In addition to that, Piaggio has updated the price of the Aprilia RS 457 while extending extra benefits to buyers. The company has absorbed Rs. 15,000 from the GST increase and also included a complimentary quick shifter. This accessory is valued at Rs. 20,500 and is being offered with every RS 457 purchase. As a result, the bike now comes at Rs. 4,35,000 ex-showroom in Maharashtra, inclusive of the added equipment.
The announcement follows the GST Council’s decision to revise tax rates for two-wheelers across categories earlier this month. Also the new tax structure increased duties on motorcycles above 350cc from 28% to 40%. However, smaller motorcycles under this capacity saw a tax reduction from 28% to 18%. This change makes entry-level models more affordable, while larger motorcycles face more price pressure.
In addition, Piaggio’s aims to shield its buyers from higher ownership costs amid these regulatory changes. By keeping Aprilia RS 457 and Tuono 457 affordable, the brand reinforces its place in India’s mid capacity bike market. Henceforth, the company believes that this decision will help maintain interest and ensure customers can bring home the models without GST impact.
