As a daily commuter, I always wanted a 2 wheeler that offers enough riding range, and that too with less fuel bills. I also wanted more storage space for my groceries and office bag. Then one day, my friend suggested to me the TVS iQube electric scooter. He talked about its specs, smart features, and how it can be useful for me.

Being backed by a trusted legacy brand like TVS gave me the confidence to buy it. I checked for a TVS showroom near me in Delhi & booked the TVS iQube 3.1 kWh variant. I was also very impressed by the TVS iQube on road price in Delhi, which was Rs. 1.34 lakh

I have recently completed 5,000 km on this EV over the past 7 months. From heavy monsoon rains to crawling through hot summer traffic, this scooter has been my daily companion. If you are planning to purchase this TVS electric scooter in 2026, here is my honest ownership review of the TVS iQube.

1. Is the TVS iQube Comfortable for Long Daily Commutes?

TVS iQube Design

One of the main reasons I picked the iQube over its rivals like the Vida V2 is its comfortable and relaxed design. The iQube seat height is 770 mm, which is quite low. This allows even shorter riders like me to place both feet flat on the ground easily.

The seat itself is very wide and soft. For my daily 25 km office commute, the straight sitting position keeps my back & shoulders completely pain free. However, on longer weekend rides over 40 km, the padding feels a bit too soft. It pushes down too much over time, which causes a minor lower back ache. But overall it is a comfortable vehicle.

2. What is the Real World TVS iQube Range on a Single Charge?

TVS iQube Battery

When buying an electric scooter, the most important question is always about the true range and battery capacity. My variant has a 3.1 kWh lithium ion battery. While TVS claims a range of 121 km, my real world riding range has been around 110 km per charge when I ride mostly in Eco mode.

If I switch to Power mode on open roads, the top speed reaches 78 km/h, but the range drops to around 95 km. Charging the battery from 0 to 80% takes about 4.5 hours using the standard 650W home charger.

3. How safe is the TVS iQube on rough or wet roads?

TVS iQube Brakes

In terms of handling, this is the best electric scooter as it is very stable. It weighs 117 kg, so it stays steady on the road without feeling heavy when you park it.

For stopping safely, it has a front disc brake & a rear drum brake. They work together to stop the scooter safely in a straight line without skidding. The front telescopic suspension handles small potholes smoothly. However, the rear suspension is a bit hard. If you hit a deep pothole fast, you will feel a sharp bump in your back. On the positive side, the 12 inch tubeless tyres on alloy wheels give a very good grip on wet & slippery roads.

4. What is the actual maintenance cost of iQube?

TVS iQube

The best part about moving from a petrol scooter to an EV is the very low running cost. In 5,000 km, my maintenance cost has been almost zero. I only took it for regular general checkups, which cost around Rs. 300 to Rs. 400 for labour & basic cleaning.

The 4.4 kW hub mounted motor is completely silent & accelerates very smoothly. TVS also gives a 3 year battery warranty, so you do not have to worry about any expensive battery replacement costs for a long time.

5. What are the smart dashboard features?

TVS iQube Dashboard

The TVS electric scooter has a bright, 5 inch digital TFT display that is easy to read even in bright sunlight. It comes with the SmartXonnect Bluetooth system, which shows turn by turn navigation & incoming call or SMS alerts on the screen. Navigating the menus with the joystick is simple, though the screen sometimes responds a bit slowly. The reverse assist mode is very helpful for moving the scooter backward in tight parking spaces.

TVS iQube Underseat Storage

Additionally, the TVS iQube underseat storage is very large at 30 litres. Because there is no petrol tank, the battery sits under the floorboard, leaving plenty of room under the seat to store a full sized helmet & shopping bags.

Pros & Cons of TVS iQube

Pros:

  • Very low running cost, keeping your monthly expenses low.
  • Quiet and smooth motor power with zero vibrations.
  • Large 30L underseat storage and a comfortable seat.

Cons:

  • The rear suspension feels stiff on bad, broken roads.
  • It doesn’t support fast charging.
