Triumph Street Triple RS & R Deliveries Begins in India

Triumph, a renowned motorcycle manufacturer, created waves earlier this June with the launch of the new-generation Speed Triple models in India. Triumph introduced 2 variants - the R & RS - priced at Rs 10.17 lakh and Rs 11.81 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively. The good news is that the official deliveries of the new Speed Triple have now commenced in India.

 

Increased Pricing

Compared to the outgoing model, the Street Triple R and RS have seen a price increase of Rs 1 lakh & Rs 50,000, respectively. In return for this premium pricing, the new-generation Street Triple promises enhanced dynamics, an array of advanced features, and an upsurge in performance over its predecessor.
 

Stunning Colour Variants

The Speed Triple R comes in two alluring colour options: Crystal White Silver Ice, with the latter priced at Rs 10.43 lakh
 

Meanwhile, the top-tier RS trim dazzles with three striking paint schemes: Silver IceCarnival Red, and Cosmic Yellow. The latter two options are priced at Rs 12.07 lakh each (both prices ex-showroom).

 

2023 Triumph Speed Triple R, RS: Engine Specs

Powering the 2023 Triumph Street Triple range is a robust 765cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, inline 3-cylinder engine, delivering a robust 118.4 bhp in the R model and an impressive 128.2 bhp in the RS variantBoth motorcycles boast a torque figure of 80 Nm.

Triumph has also revamped the chassis of the new Street Triple, introducing a sleek gullwing swingarm. The R model features Showa's 41mm upside-down front forks, complemented by Showa's mono-shock absorber at the rear. The RS, on the other hand, boasts an Ohlins unit
 

Both variants are equipped with Brembo brakes, with the RS trim showcasing Brembo Stylema anchors, which include twin 310mm front discs with four-piston radial callipers and a 220mm rear disc.

Triumph has pulled out all the stops when it comes to equipping the new Street Triple range. Riders can expect a wealth of features, including

  • A cutting-edge 5-inch TFT instrument panel
  • Bluetooth connectivity
  • A plethora of electronic aids, including multiple riding modes - Road, Rain, Sport, Rider (and Track exclusively in the RS)
  • Multi-level traction control
  • Cornering ABS
  • Lean-sensitive traction control
  • A bi-directional quick-shifter
