Suzuki V-Strom 1050 Now Launched in Malaysia

Suzuki V-Strom 1050 is now available for International markets and could launch in India next year.

Suzuki has launched its V-Strom 1050 adventure-touring motorcycle in Malaysia, which will be introduced in India in the coming year. The V-Strom 1050 is available in standard and off-road DE, featuring a design inspired by the Suzuki DR Big. It has modern features like a six-axis IMU, lean-sensitive ABS, hill hold, cruise control, riding modes, and traction control.

Features of Suzuki V-Strom 1050

The motorcycle also has a bi-directional quick-shifter to make the six-speed gearbox easier to use. The V-Strom is powered by a 1037cc V-twin engine, producing 107 bhp and 100 Nm of torque, competing with the Honda Africa Twin.

The V-Strom 1050 DE variant has additional features that provide more off-road capabilities than the standard variant. It features a 21-inch front spoke wheel, an engine guard, and a belly pan. In addition, the bike provides 170 mm travel at both front and rear with a ground clearance of 190 mm.

 In India, V-Strom 1050 DE is all set to compete with the Honda Africa Twin, BMW F850 GS and Triumph Tiger 900. However, the V-Strom 800 DE is expected to be first launched in India, followed by the V-Strom 1050 later.
