Royal Enfield has now made its electric plans much clearer. During the recent Q3 conference call, CEO B Govindarajan shared key details about the upcoming Flying Flea range. This new line will mark the brand’s serious entry into electric mobility. However, the company plans to move step by step rather than rush the process.

Speaking about the C6, Govindarajan said the motorcycle “Is almost ready for production”. This confirms that the Flying Flea C6 has reached its final development stage. However, Royal Enfield does not see this as a regular product launch. The CEO made it clear that the company wants to build a complete electric sub-brand under the Flying Flea name.
On the timeline, Govindarajan stated, “You will see in the next quarter time window.” This strongly suggests an India launch in April 2026. In addition, he said, “.....We will build it slowly and steadily…”. This shows that the company plans a phased rollout instead of a nationwide launch on day one.
We expect the C6 to first arrive in cities like Chennai and Bengaluru. Later, the company may expand to Mumbai and Delhi. This strategy will help improve service quality and customer experience before scaling up further. The C6 could cost around or slightly under Rs 2 lakh (ex-showroom).

The second model, the Flying Flea S6, will follow later in 2026. Govindarajan confirmed, “S6 will come at during the course of the year, around the time of EICMA”. This points to a possible India launch around November 2026, close to the global motorcycle show EICMA.
Perhaps the S6 will benefit from a wider launch network, building on the C6 rollout. The expected price could stand near Rs 2.30 lakh (ex-showroom). At this price point, there may not be direct rivals, although premium electric bikes from Ultraviolette Automotive sit higher in the segment.
Production Capacity Gets Strong Boost
To support this electric push, parent company Eicher Motors has approved an investment of Rs 958 crore. This move will expand the Cheyyar plant capacity from 14.6 lakh units to 20 lakh units annually. In addition to petrol-powered 350cc, 450cc and 650cc bikes, the Flying Flea range will also roll out from this facility.
