India's electric two-wheeler market continued to grow steadily during May 2026. Ola Electric recorded strong sales growth and stayed ahead of the overall industry trend. The company registered 15,139 units during the month, showing a clear increase from April figures. Moreover, growing interest in electric vehicles and higher fuel costs supported demand. In addition, the company said better operations and changes in its retail network helped improve its overall market performance.

Ola Electric Registers Strong Growth in May 2026

Ola Electric reported domestic sales of 15,139 units during May 2026. The company had registered 12,323 units during April 2026. Therefore, monthly sales increased by 23% within a single month. This growth in sales highlights the rising demand for the Ola S1 Pro Gen 3, Ola S1 X, and Ola S1 X Gen 3 across the Indian market.

The company stated that this was its third straight month of sales growth. Moreover, improvements in operational activities helped support this upward trend. Changes across the retail network also contributed to stronger registrations during the month.

Growth Rate Stays Ahead of Industry Average

According to Vahan data, the electric two-wheeler segment also recorded growth during May. Industry volumes increased from nearly 1.48 lakh units in April to around 1.70 lakh units in May.

This represented growth of nearly 15% across the broader market. However, the growth rate of Ola Electric remained higher than the industry average. Therefore, the company gained momentum faster than the overall electric two-wheeler segment.

Roadster Portfolio and Fuel Prices Support Demand

The company linked the sales increase to rising interest in electric mobility. Higher petrol prices also encouraged more buyers to consider electric vehicles.

In addition, Ola Electric said its Roadster portfolio received growing attention from customers.

An Ola Electric spokesperson said, “Ola Electric has delivered its third consecutive month of growth, with May registrations rising 23 percent month-on-month and significantly ahead of industry growth. The strong demand environment, along with increasing interest in our Roadster portfolio, has helped us maintain this growth momentum.”

The company added that improving market conditions and rising customer interest continued to support registrations during May.

Focus Remains on Expanding EV Adoption

Ola Electric said the Indian electric two-wheeler market is changing steadily. Consumers are increasingly choosing electric vehicles because of lower running costs. Moreover, concerns regarding fuel dependence are influencing buying decisions.

The company added that it remains focused on increasing EV adoption. Hence, it will continue strengthening its integrated manufacturing operations covering vehicles, batteries, and cells.
