Oben Electric has become India’s No. 1 selling electric motorcycle brand after recording 1,417 registrations in September 2026. The Bengaluru based company achieved the milestone through strong demand for the Rorr Evo.
According to September 2026 Vahan data, the registrations also helped Oben record its highest ever monthly sales. The company says the result reflects growing interest in electric motorcycles designed for everyday Indian riding.
The Rorr Evo sits at the centre of Oben Electric bikes recent growth. The company says it developed the motorcycle around how Indian riders use their bikes. It focuses on performance, design, technology, range and everyday usability. Oben positions the Rorr Evo as a motorcycle first, with electric power providing the drivetrain.
The company says this approach targets both EV buyers and conventional motorcycle riders considering an electric switch. Oben Electric has also recently rolled out its 10,000th electric motorcycle from its Bengaluru manufacturing facility.
Oben follows a vertically integrated approach for its electric motorcycles. The company develops several key EV components in house.
These include LFP batteries, motors, vehicle control units, chargers and proprietary software. This approach gives Oben greater control over development, engineering, manufacturing and quality.
The company operates a 3.5 acre manufacturing facility in Bengaluru. The plant has an annual production capacity of 1 lakh electric bikes. For buyers, higher production capacity could support Oben’s plans to expand the Rorr Evo across more markets.
Oben Electric is also expanding its sales and after sales infrastructure alongside motorcycle production.
The company now has more than 150 showrooms and dedicated Oben Care service centres. Its network covers more than 90 cities across 18 states.
The network supports sales, test rides, deliveries and after sales service. This could become increasingly important as the company adds more electric motorcycles to Indian roads.

The latest sales milestone gives Oben greater visibility in this growing segment. However, buyers should still compare range, charging access, service reach and ownership costs before purchasing.
The company’s expanding manufacturing and service network could support its next phase of growth. Its ability to maintain product quality and customer support will remain important as sales increase.
