EV startup Matter has rolled out its 22nd Century Smart Ownership Plans across India this Diwali. The company wants to make electric vehicle ownership smarter, simpler, and more affordable for everyone. This big launch also comes alongside the Matter AERA 5000+, India’s first electric two-wheeler to offer a Lifetime Battery Warranty, which is a significant step for the EV industry.
Customers can book the AERA 5000+ under the P-a-a-S plan for Rs 1,29,000 plus Rs 1.16 per km for battery usage. Test rides and plan details are available at Matter Experience Hubs and on their official website.
Matter’s new ownership plans focus on separating vehicle cost and battery usage cost, giving customers more flexibility. By doing this, riders can pay less up front and manage their monthly expenses more easily. The plans are designed to keep running costs lower than petrol bikes, which can make EVs a smarter long-term choice.
AERA P-a-a-S (Product-as-a-Service): Under this plan, customers can own the AERA 5000+ for ₹1,29,000 (vehicle only) and pay ₹1.16 per km for battery usage. This model brings down the initial investment and keeps the monthly running costs predictable.
AERA BNPL (Buy Now, Pay Flexi Later): This option allows customers to pay a part of the cost upfront using UPI, debit, or credit cards, and then choose No Cost EMIs, cashback options, or flexible monthly instalments for the balance amount. This approach aims to ease the financial load compared to buying a petrol vehicle.
The 22nd Century Ownership Plans come with a number of useful benefits. Customers will get a Lifetime Battery Warranty under the Product-as-a-Service plan, which removes worries about long-term battery costs.
In addition, Matter is offering future upgrade options, so riders can easily switch to newer AERA models later. They’ll also have access to Matter Charge Hubs for convenient charging, along with multiple payment methods like UPI, cards, and vehicle finance to make the buying experience smooth.
The AERA 5000+ is packed with modern features. It gets a 4-speed hyperShift gearbox, giving three riding modes and 12 combinations for better control. The liquid-cooled powertrain is built for Indian conditions, while the 7-inch touchscreen dashboard includes navigation, music, calls, ride stats, and OTA updates.
Before you go, don’t forget to check out the festive offers available on TVS two-wheelers.
