Keeway Hypevolt-R Launched in India With 180 km Claimed Range

Keeway India has launched the new Hypevolt-R electric scooter at an introductory price of Rs. 1.99 lakh (ex-showroom). With this launch, the company has entered India's premium electric scooter segment. The new scooter comes in Crystal White and Platinum Grey colour options. In addition, interested buyers can book the scooter by paying Rs. 5,000, while deliveries are expected to begin soon through Keeway dealerships across the country.

Powerful Motor and Impressive Riding Range

The new Keeway Hypevolt-R comes with a mid-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor that delivers 12 kW of peak power. According to the company, the scooter can accelerate from 0 to 40 kmph in just 2.3 seconds and reaches a top speed of 115 kmph.

Furthermore, the scooter gets a 5kWh removable battery pack with a claimed IDC-certified range of 180 km on a full charge. Riders can charge the battery either on or off the scooter, adding more convenience. However, when using the onboard charger, the battery takes around three hours to charge from 0 to 80 percent.

Premium Features and Safety Equipment

Among the latest Keeway Scooters, the Hypevolt-R offers one of the most feature-rich packages. It gets Eco, Normal, and Sport riding modes, allowing riders to choose performance based on their needs.

In addition, Keeway has equipped the scooter with several premium safety features. These include dual-channel ABS, traction control, hill hold control, hill descent control, cruise control, blind spot detection, and a rear reverse camera. These features aim to improve both safety and riding comfort.

The scooter also comes with projector LED headlamps, a 5-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, reverse mode, a spacious 27-litre under-seat storage compartment, and both USB Type-A and Type-C charging ports.

Bookings Open, Deliveries to Begin Soon

Keeway has already started accepting bookings for the Hypevolt-R across its dealership network. The company expects deliveries to begin shortly, giving buyers another premium electric scooter option in the growing EV market.
