The Hero XPULSE 200 4V, also called “Pahado Ki Rani,” grabbed my attention for off-road riding. I mostly use it on hills, village roads, and some highways. Right away, I noticed how light and easy it feels to handle, even on uneven tracks. The 13 L fuel tank is well sized, so I don’t have to stop frequently on longer rides. The bike feels ready for dirt paths and small trails without any struggle.
Here’s what I and other riders noticed after using the Hero XPULSE 200 4V for about a year.
After riding it regularly, here’s a quick idea of what works well and what needs improvement.

The tyres grip dirt, mud, and gravel well. Tubeless tyres would have been more convenient, but balancing feels easy even on uneven paths. Riding over stones and small bumps feels controlled, and the bike does not feel heavy on trails.

The front suspension and rear mono-shock absorb most bumps. At very low speeds, it wobbles a little, but stability improves once the bike starts moving. Single riders feel confident, & longer trail rides remain manageable.
On highways, the XPULSE 200 4V feels underpowered when overtaking faster vehicles. The narrow seat makes rides longer than 50 - 60 km uncomfortable. At high speeds, the bike feels less stable compared to city or trail riding.
Wind pressure on open roads is noticeable, and you need to stay alert while balancing. It works best for short solo trips or light highway stretches, but long highway tours can feel tiring.

The LED headlamps work well for night rides. Indicators are still standard bulbs, which could be better. The overall stance comes out, especially on off road trails, & the design attracts attention without being flashy.
Personally, I find the throttle to be slow when overtaking on highways and this is annoying. After being on the narrow seat longer than one hour, it begins to hurt.
I had to be cautious of punctures on the rough trails using the tubed tyres. The bike wobbles slightly at very low speeds hence I had to exercise extra care when making manoeuvres in traffic or during sharp turns.

The bike suits riders who mostly ride on hills or rough roads. Short solo rides feel smooth & controlled. Highway touring may feel less comfortable, so usage type should guide your decision.
Here’s a quick look at what worked well for me and where I faced some issues.
