Hero MotoCorp is all set to bring its new flagship scooter, the Xoom 160, to Indian roads. After facing some delays, the company has finally started accepting bookings. With its bold look, new engine, and modern features, the Xoom 160 aims to offer a fresh option for scooter buyers in India.
Hero MotoCorp has opened bookings for its new adventure-style scooter, the Hero Xoom 160. This maxi-scooter was launched earlier this year with a price tag of Rs. 1.49 lakh (ex-showroom).
Bookings had been delayed due to a few supply-related constraints, but the wait is now over. Deliveries are expected to begin by the end of August, as the scooter starts reaching showrooms across the country.
The Hero Xoom 160 is the brand’s most premium and feature-packed scooter till now. It was first showcased during the Bharat Mobility Global Expo earlier this year and instantly gained attention for its bold and unique look.
Though it was supposed to reach dealerships soon after its launch, some production and supply issues delayed the process. Hero MotoCorp has now confirmed that these problems have been sorted, and the scooter is ready for dispatch.
Powering the Hero Xoom 160 is a brand-new 156cc, liquid-cooled engine. It comes with a CVT automatic transmission system for smooth and easy riding. This engine generates 14.6bhp and 14 Nm of torque, making it ideal for both city rides and longer weekend getaways. The engine also helps position the Xoom 160 as a strong option in the growing maxi-scooter market of India.
The design of the Hero Xoom 160 sets it apart from other scooters on Indian roads. Its bold styling includes a large front apron and sharp body panels.
Twin LED headlamps at the front give it a sporty face, while the side panels feature cuts and creases that add a dynamic feel. The overall styling makes it look much larger and more premium than typical scooters.
Hero has packed the Xoom 160 with a good number of modern features. It comes with full LED lighting, a digital instrument console, and a smart key system.
The scooter also includes remote key ignition, which adds to rider convenience. All these features aim to make everyday commuting more practical and enjoyable.
Deliveries for the Hero Xoom 160 are likely to begin in late August, following a smooth dispatch from the production line. Customers can now visit authorized Hero dealerships to place bookings. With its stylish design, advanced features, and powerful engine, the Hero Xoom 160 is set to attract a lot of attention in the scooter segment.
