Benelli India launched the TRK 552 and TRK 552X in India on October 22, 2026. The new adventure touring motorcycles get a 554cc parallel twin engine, updated electronics and touring focused equipment.
The Benelli bikes are available through authorised Benelli Keeway dealerships across India. Bookings for both motorcycles opened on October 22, 2026.

The two motorcycles share the same engine and core equipment. However, their wheel and tyre setups target different riding needs.
| Motorcycle | Ex showroom Price |
| Benelli TRK 552 | Rs 7.22 lakh |
| Benelli TRK 552X | Rs 7.74 lakh |
| Benelli TRK 552X Limited Edition | Rs 7.90 lakh |
Both models use a 554cc, liquid cooled, DOHC parallel twin engine. It produces 52 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 49 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. A six speed gearbox and slipper clutch handle transmission duties.
The slipper clutch is designed to help provide smoother control during downshifts. For riders planning long highway journeys, the shared engine and six speed gearbox form the basis of both motorcycles.
Benelli says the TRK 552 suits paved roads and long distance touring. The TRK 552X adds hardware intended for riders who also want to explore beyond paved routes.
Both motorcycles receive a 5 inch TFT instrument display with Bluetooth, navigation and T BOX connectivity. The navigation system supports route planning, turn by turn directions, offline navigation and trackback functionality.
Other shared features include:
These features focus on long distance comfort and practical touring. Heated grips and a heated seat could be useful during cold weather rides. TPMS provides tyre pressure information and alerts when it detects abnormal pressure.
The Benelli bikes use a tubular steel trellis frame with an aluminium swingarm. Suspension includes a 50mm Marzocchi upside down front fork and a rear monoshock with adjustable preload. Braking hardware comprises twin 320mm front discs and a 260mm rear disc.
The main differences lie in their wheels, tyres, ground clearance and seat height.
| Specification | TRK 552 | TRK 552X |
| Front wheel | 17 inch alloy | 19 inch spoke |
| Rear wheel | 17 inch alloy | 17 inch spoke |
| Tyres | Pirelli | Metzeler |
| Ground clearance | 190mm | 210mm |
| Seat height | 835mm | 860mm |
| Weight | 235kg | 235kg |
The TRK 552 uses road focused Pirelli tyres and alloy wheels. Its 835mm seat height is lower than the TRK 552X’s 860mm figure. However, both remain heavy motorcycles at 235kg.
The TRK 552X gets a larger front wheel, spoke wheels and adventure oriented Metzeler tyres. Its additional 20mm ground clearance could help on uneven surfaces. The higher seat, however, may make it harder for some riders to place both feet firmly on the ground.
The TRK 552 is available in black and white. The TRK 552X comes in green and white, while yellow is reserved for the Limited Edition.
Speaking on the launch, Mr. Vikas Jhabakh, Managing Director of Benelli India, said, “The TRK name has become synonymous with the spirit of touring and exploration, and the new TRK 552 and TRK 552X take that philosophy into a new generation. We have focused on aspects like performance, comfort, control, technology and versatility, which matter most to riders who travel long distances. With the new 554cc engine, upgraded chassis components, connected features and enhanced touring equipment, the new TRK 552 family is designed to give riders the freedom to explore further, whether their journey stays on the highway or takes them beyond it.”
The new Benelli motorcycles enter a segment that includes the Kawasaki Versys 650 and Honda NX500. Buyers should compare prices, seat heights, weight and touring equipment before choosing a motorcycle.
The TRK 552 appears better suited to riders who mainly use highways and paved roads. The TRK 552X targets those who want more ground clearance and an off road oriented wheel setup.
Both motorcycles offer connected features and comfort equipment, but their 235kg weight deserves attention. Buyers should take a test ride and assess low speed handling, seat comfort and manoeuvrability before booking.
