Avore Electric Bikes: Full Specs Breakdown of EX1, EX2 and EX2S Variants

Avore Electric has entered India's electric motorcycle market with the launch of its first model, the Avore Electric EX series. Unveiled in Ahmedabad on July 28 by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, the new lineup includes the Avore EX1, EX2 and EX2S.

Priced from Rs 1.24 lakh (ex showroom), the motorcycles are built on the company's in house AVR platform and AVORE Source technology stack. These come with up to 260 km IDC range, a 114 kmph top speed, fast charging, and several connected features. The Avore Electric bikes aim to offer buyers a practical alternative to petrol motorcycles.

The biggest difference between the three variants comes down to performance and range. Buyers who travel longer distances may find the Avore EX2S more suitable, while the EX1 targets riders looking for a more affordable entry into electric motorcycling.

Avore Electric Bikes: Battery, Range and Charging

Avore Bike Battery, Range And Charging

One of the biggest advantages of the Avore Electric bikes is its easy charging setup. Every EX variant comes with a 1500W onboard charger that supports charging from a regular 5A or 15A household power socket. This means owners do not need to install a separate wall charger at home, making daily charging more convenient.

The battery charges from 20% to 80% in around two hours, while a complete 0-100% charge takes about four hours. This allows riders to top up the battery during work hours or overnight without much hassle.

The motorcycles use a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM), a motor technology commonly found in modern electric vehicles. PMSM motors are known for their smooth power delivery, higher efficiency, lower maintenance, and better energy usage than many conventional electric motors.

Avore has also introduced its Split Pack Energy battery architecture. Instead of placing the battery in a single large pack, the company uses a side-by-side layout that helps distribute weight more evenly across the motorcycle. Better weight balance can improve handling, especially while cornering or riding through city traffic. The design also helps manage battery temperatures more effectively, which can support consistent performance during long rides.

Avore Electric Bikes: Features and Technology

Avore Bike Features And Technology

Avore has packed the EX series with several hardware and software features aimed at improving the everyday riding experience. Instead of focusing only on battery size or power figures, the company has also added connected technologies, rider assistance functions, and convenience features.

Key highlights include:

  • Industry-first Integrated Motor + Swingarm Powertrain
  • AVORE SENSE operating system
  • AVA (Avore Vehicle Assistance)
  • Avore Synapse AI-powered companion
  • Apex performance mode
  • Syft manual gear mode
  • PAM+ Park Assist
  • Guide Me Home Lights
  • Auto Indicator Cut-off
  • Ahoy! Welcome Lights
  • Beacon signature tank lights
  • Manual and automatic riding modes
  • Ergo Fit riding ergonomics

The Integrated Motor + Swingarm Powertrain combines the electric motor and swingarm into a single unit. This reduces the number of separate components, improves weight distribution, and helps deliver better stability while riding.

The AVORE SENSE operating system acts as the motorcycle's digital platform. It manages connected features and vehicle information while enabling software-based functions for the rider.

AVA (Avore Vehicle Assistance) works as a smart assistance system that provides useful vehicle information and helps riders access important functions more easily.

The Avore Synapse AI powered companion is designed to offer a connected ownership experience through intelligent software features, vehicle monitoring, and rider interaction.

For riders who enjoy spirited performance, Apex Performance Mode delivers sharper throttle response and stronger acceleration. Syft Manual Gear Mode recreates the feel of shifting gears on an electric motorcycle, offering a more engaging riding experience.

The PAM+ Park Assist function makes it easier to move the motorcycle forward or backward at low speed while parking, especially in tight spaces.

Convenience features such as Guide Me Home Lights keep the headlamp illuminated briefly after switching off the bike, helping riders walk safely in dark areas. Auto Indicator Cut-off switches off the turn indicators automatically after a turn, reducing the chance of accidentally leaving them on.

The motorcycles also get Ahoy! Welcome Lights and Beacon Signature Tank Lights, giving the EX series a distinctive lighting signature. Finally, Ergo Fit riding ergonomics are designed to provide a comfortable riding posture for both daily commuting and longer journeys.

Warranty, Safety and What Buyers Should Know

Avore Electric Bike Warranty And Safety

Avore says the electric bikes have been developed for over three years and filed more than 120 intellectual property (IP) applications during the development process. According to the company, the motorcycles completed over 1,00,000 km of road testing across different riding conditions before reaching customers. They also underwent 2,500 hours of dynamometer (dyno) testing, where the motorcycle is tested on specialised equipment to evaluate motor performance, battery efficiency, durability, and reliability without riding on public roads.

The EX platform complies with AIS 156 and AIS 038, two important Indian safety standards for electric vehicles. AIS 156 focuses on battery safety, including protection against overheating, fire risks, and thermal incidents. AIS 038 sets safety requirements for the overall electric vehicle system, covering electrical components and operational safety.

To provide additional confidence to buyers, Avore offers a 5 year or 60,000 km battery warranty, whichever comes first. This warranty helps reduce long-term ownership concerns by covering the battery, which is one of the most expensive components in an electric motorcycle.

Bookings for the Avore Electric EX series are now open for Rs 799 through the company's official website. Customer deliveries are expected to begin around two months after booking, while showroom availability will start across key Indian cities from next month.

Founder Priyank Rakholiya Explains Vision

Speaking on the launch, Priyank Rakholiya, Founder, Avore Electric, said, "We dedicated three years to research, development, testing, and validation before the launch of the EX to ensure class leading engineering and innovation. We are ensuring global levels of safety and performance while pushing the frontiers of Indian developed electric mobility technology stacks that deliver reliability, consistency, and economic viability. Our goal is to improve the adoption and accessibility of world class electric mobility solutions for every Indian."
