Ather Rizta Reaches 1 Lakh Sales Mark within One Year of Launch

Ather Energy is a Bengaluru-based electric vehicle company that has accomplished the biggest milestone with its family scooter, the Ather Rizta. Since its official launch in June 2024, the Rizta has sold over 1 lakh units across India. Ather Rizta scooters have made a major sales achievement in under a year, showing how popular the scooter has become among Indian buyers. The Rizta scooter was first revealed in April 2024, and deliveries started soon after its launch in June. A Strong Push in Sales

 
Ather’s sales numbers showed a big rise from the second quarter of Financial Year 2025, especially between July and September 2024. The Ather Rizta scooters gained their popularity due to features and battery capacity, which made the market share recognised in India rapidly.

In April 2025 alone, the Ather sold 10,052 units of the Rizta out of the brand’s total monthly sales of 13,663 units. It simply signifies that the Rizta made up nearly 73.57% of Ather's total sales for that month. In addition, by the end of April 2025, Ather had already sold out 99,691 units of the Rizta. Ather crossed 1 lakh sales in early May, according to SIAM data.

What Makes the Rizta So Popular?

The Ather Rizta has been designed and framed specially for families. Unlike the other electric scooter brands’ performance, the Rizta offers a more practical and family-friendly experience. Ather Energy has said that the scooter has become popular because of its smart design and useful features. It is equipped with a comfortable seat, which is quite bigger than the old generation scooters sold in India. Additionally, it has a spacious 34-litre under-seat storage and a 22-litre front storage space (frunk), giving a total of around 56 litres.

Battery Options and Range

The Ather Rizta comes packed with two battery variables: a 2.9 kWh and a 3.7 kWh. The scooter claims to offer a range of up to 123km on a full charge. But it all going to depends on, version you pick according to your traveling preferences. A notable thing about this scooter is that it supports a fast-charging network that includes 3600 charging stations across India.

Modern Features for Everyday Riding

Apart from its family-friendly design, the Ather Rizta also features SkidControl (Ather’s name for traction control), Magic Twist, Reverse Mode, AutoHold, and Bluetooth. Furthermore, riders also receive live location sharing, Google Maps support, theft and tow alerts, making it a smart and secure choice for daily travel.
