Aprilia Tuono 457 Price Revised in India

Aprilia has reduced the price of the Tuono 457 in India after the recent GST 2.0 revision. The streetfighter is now available at Rs. 3.97 lakh ex-showroom in Maharashtra. Earlier, the motorcycle was priced at Rs. 4.24 lakh after a tax related increase. Therefore, the updated pricing makes the bike only Rs. 2,000 costlier than its original launch tag. This decision keeps the Tuono 457 competitive in the entry level performance motorcycle segment. Moreover, the brand has ensured that buyers get better value despite higher taxation.

GST 2.0 Led to Sharp Price Increase

Under GST 2.0, motorcycles above 350cc saw the tax rate rise from 31 percent to 40 percent. As a result, the Tuono 457 price had increased by Rs. 29,000 earlier. However, many expected the hike to remain close to Rs. 15,000. 

Engine & Performance Remain Unchanged

There are no mechanical changes introduced with this revised pricing. The Tuono 457 carries forward the same 457cc liquid cooled parallel twin engine. This engine produces a maximum of 46.9 bhp & 43.5 Nm of torque. Therefore, the performance figures for this bike will be the same as before. Currently, the Tuono 457 stands among the most affordable entry level Italian big bikes in India.
