Ultraviolette has introduced a new base version of the X-47 crossover electric motorcycle in India. The new model carries a starting price of Rs. 2.49 lakh (ex-showroom). As a result, buyers now get a more affordable option in the premium electric motorcycle segment.
Interestingly, the new variant simply carries the name “X-47.” It sits below the X-47 Original variant, which costs Rs. 2.64 lakh. Therefore, customers save nearly Rs. 15,000 with the new version.
However, the lower price comes with one important change. The motorcycle misses out on Ultraviolette’s advanced Hypersense radar system. Even so, the company keeps most of the performance and technology unchanged.

The biggest difference comes from the missing Hypersense radar package. This advanced rider assistance system offers features like blind-spot detection, rear collision warning, lane-change assist, and overtake alerts.
Perhaps some riders may not need these extra electronic aids for daily commuting. In addition, removing the radar setup helps the company reduce the overall price without affecting the motorcycle’s core performance.
Although the radar system is absent, the motorcycle still offers several premium features. Riders continue to get Glide, Combat, and Ballistic riding modes for different road conditions.

Moreover, the bike includes traction control, dual-channel ABS, dynamic stability control, hill-hold assist, and regenerative braking levels. The motorcycle also supports smartphone connectivity and Type-C charging.
Furthermore, Ultraviolette offers TPMS, park assist, Violette AI connectivity, and even a built-in dashcam module. These features continue to make the X-47 one of the most tech-loaded electric motorcycles in India.
The new X-47 uses the same 27kW electric motor as the higher variants. It produces 36.2 hp and delivers a massive 550 Nm wheel torque figure. As a result, the electric motorcycle accelerates from 0-60kmph in just 2.8 seconds. In addition, the claimed top speed stands at 145kmph.
The motorcycle also uses a 7.1kWh battery pack with a claimed IDC range of 211km. Therefore, riders can comfortably manage city rides and weekend trips.
The launch increases the total X-47 lineup to six variants. The prices start at Rs. 2.49 lakh and go up to Rs. 4.59 lakh for the Desert Wing edition. Meanwhile, Ultraviolette also offers an optional Boost Charger for faster charging support. The battery pack comes with a standard 3-year or 60,000km warranty. Buyers can also extend coverage up to 5 years or 1 lakh kilometres.
