Ultraviolette has launched a new programme called “Kill the Petrol Bill” to encourage more people to switch to electric bikes. With this step, the company wants to make EVs more affordable for everyday riders.

Under this programme, customers who upgrade from a petrol bike to the Ultraviolette F77 or X-47 can get cashback benefits. The cashback depends on how much they have ridden their old petrol two wheeler in the last two years.

How does the Cashback Work?

If a rider has covered 20,000 km, they can get Rs. 20,000 cashback. In addition, the total benefit can go up to Rs. 30,000, depending on the usage. This makes the offer more useful for regular riders.

Moreover, Ultraviolette says that switching to an electric bike can help riders save around Rs. 3,000 to Rs. 5,000 every month on fuel. This adds long-term savings along with the upfront benefit.

Focus on EV Adoption

The company designed this programme to reduce the cost gap between petrol bikes and electric motorcycles. Perhaps this will encourage more riders to try electric mobility without worrying about high initial costs.

In addition, Ultraviolette continues to expand its EV lineup with models like the F77 and X-47. The company also plans to launch its first electric scooter, called Tesseract, in January 2027.

Overall, this initiative highlights how brands are now focusing on making electric vehicles more accessible and cost-effective for Indian riders.
