Suzuki Motorcycles India has unveiled the Burgman Street, which is compliant with OBD2-A regulations, in our local market. The scooter, which has a design inspired by maxi-scooters, is priced starting at Rs 93,000 and competes with the Aprilia SXR 125 in India. An Overview of the Engine Specifications of the 2023 Suzuki Burgman Street

The 2023 edition of the Burgman Street features the same 124 cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine as its previous BS6-compliant counterpart. This engine can generate a maximum power of 8.5 bhp at 6,750 rpm. Further, it can provide a peak torque of 10 Nm at 5,500 rpm. 

However, the new model will now incorporate an On-board Diagnostics System to comply with the latest emission standards. This system is designed to detect and report any issues with the vehicle's system. 

Additionally, the updated version is capable of using E20 petrol, which has an ethanol blend of up to 20 percent.

Styling Features and Color Options of the 2023 Suzuki Burgman Street

The alterations made to the 2023 Suzuki Burgman Street are restricted to the installation of new components to meet the latest regulations. Conversely, the design remains unchanged, with the 2023 version of the Burgman Street maintaining its sleek appearance. 

It includes features like a headlight mounted on the apron, a broad footboard, a fly-screen at the front, integrated front turn signals on the apron, a raised seat, a single-seat pillion grab rail, and a side-slung exhaust with a heat shield.

Hardware Components of the 2023 Suzuki Burgman Street

All models in the lineup of the Burgman Street feature a telescopic front fork and a single rear spring for suspension. 

However, unlike the Access 125, the Burgman Street does not offer a variant with a drum brake. Instead, all Burgman Street models come equipped with a front disc and a rear drum setup. Additionally, a combined braking system is included in the safety package of all versions of this 125cc scooter.

In the Indian market, the Suzuki Burgman Street competes directly with the Aprilia SXR 125. However, the Italian brand's maxi-scooter-style offering is priced significantly higher than the Burgman Street. 

The SXR 125 is sold in a single variant, with an ex-showroom price of Rs 1,33,058. In contrast, the Yamaha Fascino 125 and Ray ZR are available in the same price range as the Burgman Street in the Indian market.
