Ola Electric has launched the S1 X+ with a 5.2 kWh battery pack for longer riding range. The scooter comes at an introductory price of Rs. 1,29,999, valid until April 15, 2026. Moreover, the new variant targets buyers looking for higher range in the mid price segment. The launch also shows the company’s focus on expanding its electric scooter lineup across India.

Portfolio Expansion and Product Lineup

Ola Electric already sells Gen 3 S1 scooters with multiple battery options across different price levels. However, the company also offers S1 Pro+ and S1 Pro models with higher specifications. In addition, the brand has entered electric motorcycles with the Roadster X series. These motorcycles come with battery options ranging from 2.5 kWh to 9.1 kWh.

New Battery and Platform Strategy

The S1 X+ uses the company’s in-house developed 4680 Bharat Cell for improved performance figures. Therefore, Ola Electric continues to expand its in house battery and vehicle platform across products. The company said this move will help scale production and bring its technology to more buyers. In addition, manufacturing takes place in Tamil Nadu, while battery development happens in Bengaluru.

An Ola Electric Spokesperson said: “Vertical integration enables the ability to innovate deeply, scale quickly, and bring our best technology to more and more customers, faster. S1 X+ 5.2 kWh is where performance, range and scale come together."
